Prophetic Words

Today I started packing for our July 28th trip to Haiti. There were several things in the garage that I wanted to get in suitcases. I opened a box and there was a piece of paper that I haven't seen in 3 years. It was a prophetic word that was given to me by Mary Francis Varallo before I moved to Haiti in October 2007. It is as fresh today as it was then. This is what it said:

God on a people...God on a people. God's power on you to get the job done. Increase in influence, anointing, favor and supernatural connections. Even with leaders of nations necessary for you...so be it. Miracle life of God streaming through your body. I loose...not 10's...not 100's...but your eyes are on the million mark. I loose it to you to get the job done. God on a people...God on a people...God's life to get the job done.          Mary Francis Varallo

Suitcases and Pizza's

TravelMedicineSuitcase Our next trip to Haiti will be July 28. But due to an embargo on luggage I can only take suitcases, no tubs or boxes. So if you have any large suitcases that you would like to donate, we sure could use them. They don't have to be in the best of shape as they only need to make one trip into Haiti.

I also have a need for Pizza Sauce, preferably in cans. One of the businesses we are working on is ready to start selling pizza slices in the market. He will later need to make his own sauce...but until then I am hoping to load him up. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Where no man has gone before...

Mountain SM "Now...exactly where is this village"? I guess that is the question I should of asked in the first place. The man I was with had come up to me in the village of Casale and began to tell me that I made a difference to him and his family from 2001 when I was with Pastor Bellande. But to be honest, I still didn't recognize him or remember his family. He said he had a school of 250 in the village called Fontbaptist and he asked me to visit them. So we had a break on Monday afternoon and picked him up in the village of Williamson.

I guess I should of suspected something when he pointed up the mountain and my eyes couldn't see any signs of a road.  I figured that I kinda of been many places in Haiti, so I was prepared for about anything...NOT! My big red Ford truck has been in mud, rivers, stuck between trees, wedged between rocks...I thought it would be no problem to visit this guys village. The road I started on disappeared to gravel in about 5 minutes. Chasing Truck SM The gravel turned to mud about 10 minutes later. As I leaned my head out my window I could see my front tire on the edge of the trail that went straight down the mountain if it ran off the side.  As we drove straight up this mountain I thought we would never see any people up there. All of a sudden I could hear children's voices. As I looked in my rear view mirror I could see many children running behind the truck. I felt good that we finally made it. When we pulled into the village I asked the man where his school was. He gave me a blank look as he said this wasn't his village. He pointed at the trail and said his village is another 90 minutes farther! So I explained that it was already getting late in the afternoon and because it is rainy season now, the chances of making his village was not possible.

The good news is that we were surrounded by many children smiling and happy because we were there. We unloaded our children's supplies and had a great time with everyone at that village. The good news is we shared...well...the good news. We had fun, we had some games and we gave them Jesus. It was a fulfilling trip even though we never made it back to Fontbaptist.

The funny thing about that whole trip was I later was talking to another missionary who has property at the bottom of that road. He told me that he heard a truck go by his gate but thought that there was nobody that would be crazy enough to go up that mountain. All we could do is laugh as I said "Yep...that was me". But I feel good that as I sit here in Dayton there is a few hundred people up on a mountain that are probably still talking about the day the big red truck came into their village. Thanks to everyone who helps us be light in the nation of Haiti.

JB's Superwash and Johnetels Bakery is up and running!

What a great week we had in Haiti. As I write this, Michael is still there finishing up on the details of this trip. One of the things we did was set up two businesses. JB's Superwash is a car wash business in Sourcematla. The name of the village stands for "source of water". So we were able to take a gasoline DSC09719 powered pressure washer, washing tools and signage to get him started. The concrete pad for cars to be pulled up on will be completed before my return on July 28. Hopefully we can have a big grand opening for him. Jean Benard has a large extended family and this will help all of them to live and continue in ministry.

Our second business was for Sonel, my main interpreter from a village called St. Gerard. He has a great talent for cooking, so we set up Johnetels Bakery. We spent a day in Port-Au-Prince finding a stove and propane tank. I was able to take mixing supplies, cookie sheets and towels to him to help get things started. His first project will be cookies and breads to sell at market day. Then after much brainstorming we decided to try pizza when I go back in July. Finding cheese will be easy but there is no pizza sauce in Haiti. So my plan is to take a few cans, and hopefully a few recipes, of pizza sauce and spices. Everyone agrees that there is nobody selling pizza slices and we think it will be a great success. He has a beautiful wife who can make the best salted peanuts in the world. So I am pushing for that to be made too...if only just for me! Yum!

Rain, Mosquitoes and Kisses

DSC09535I think I am just now drying out from the rain! Within 30 minutes of arriving we were in the middle of the worst storm I have been through in Haiti. It was worse than the hurricanes of last year. The hail was coming down so hard that you couldn't talk in the car because it was so loud. But we finally made it out to Kaliko where we are staying. With all the rain the Mosquitoes are out in force. My legs look like "connect-the-dots".

It has been a great trip so far. In Wednesday I had meetings in Port-Au-Prince while Michael and Jeff went back to Casale to do evangelism and start the woman's group. By the time I arrived Michael had already preached and prayed for all the ladies. But I had the "good part" in being able to give out the dresses. It was so fun to see the smiles on all the woman. After the meeting was over we got lots of kisses and hugs. The school we met at was in desperate need as the hurricanes of last year destroyed many things in that village. They had over 250 children at the school. Some of them were in what was left of a classroom and the others under a tree. After the meeting we went to the village of Malinge to do a quick Kids Club. The rains made it quite a trip for the truck. Praise the Lord for 4 wheel drive!!!

After a fast peanut butter sandwich on the truck, we finished the day in Sourcematla at our women's bible study. The rains cut it short, but we were able to bless them with some dresses and scarves. Thank you to all the ladies who gave us dresses to bless the Haitian woman with. It was worth all the effort! God opened so many doors of ministry through your gift.

We spent the last two days starting two businesses for the guys that work with me. JB's Superwash and Johnatel's Bakery is up and running. The finances they make form these businesses will support their entire e-x-t-e-n-d-e-d families. This also allows them to continue to do ministry without always having to struggle to make ends meet.

Today is our big day in the villages. Obessa, Sofie, Koutanso, Casale...and hopefully a new village we have never been to before. Our soccer balls are aired up, batteries in our games, candy in our pockets and a whole lot of JESUS! Thanks again for everyone who helps us to be here. I can't wait to come home and give you a good report!

Support a Day...Part Two

Haiti (190)   When I went to Haiti in April, people asked me what is the best way to help if they are not monthly supporters. I broke it down to what my expenses would be for a day of ministry. So we came up with "Support a Day" for $120. What that covers is my traveling expenses, food, lodging, interpreters and the most important...DIESEL FUEL! I am so blessed to have our F-250 truck in Haiti. It takes us places that are difficult to reach with smaller trucks. But I wouldn't be able reach those villages without diesel fuel. Each trip to the gas station usually costs me $100 in diesel fuel...and that is if I can find it. The last two times I was in Haiti the country ran out of fuel. You can buy it per gallon on the street in extreme emergencies, but it is expensive and many times it is bad fuel.

This also covers a lot of ministry! Matthew 10 says:

As you GO, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.' Then heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

Thank you to everyone who helps us continue to freely give in the nation of Haiti!

Prophecy from Victor Boateng

Victor

[PASTOR] Sir you are going to be building more churches

You be ready. The Lord will be sending you into the nations, countries into cities.

Man of God load them up well because this gentleman [DON] will… break a lot of fallow ground and shake a lot of foundations that put a lot of seeds there. And be ready because this church will be a church but in different locations and the location will not just be in this vicinity you shall go beyond Ohio, you shall go beyond Dayton and get to other states. And this gentleman [DON] I see holding something like a pick axe and he’s breaking fallow ground and will put seeds there and I see you releasing him and sending him into cities into states into nations and he shall put seeds down there and he shall walk in some serious prophetic mantel and the healing anointing. Are you a full time minister of this church? A missionary? You are in Haiti? Is a part of this work? Isn’t it amazing the Lord brings him back, brings him back, brings him back, brings him back, brings him back. I see a trumpet in your mouth you are blowing a trumpet, a trumpet, a trumpet. A trumpet is in your mouth you are blowing a trumpet. Anybody called Don? Don? You are Don. Are you married? Is your wife here? Come. [SANDEE] You’ve got to understand your husband and you’ve got to understand what God is using him for. And you’ve got to open up to what God is up to. You can’t afford to miss the move of God. Give him more energy when he lacks one, and partly show him that God is with us and God will take us there. I see flowers all around you but the flowers cannot blossom if you don’t understand what God is using your husband for. And you to tell him what God is up to. God will visit this family. You will not lack, you will not want. That is the purpose for this flower. It is blossoming… A...dam...son… Adamson… Is that you? Can somebody give the Lord a hand of praise? Lift up both of your hands, raise up both of your hands. [PASTOR] Man of God can you come please? This gentleman [DON] has gone through challenges! Pain! [SANDEE] Let the first lady of this house mentor you, okay? [JACKIE] Woman of God, there is a spirit in you that must fall on her. If she catches it they will go very far. What I am saying, and the church may not understand it, but the husband and wife understand what I am talking about [laying hands on DON and SANDEE] can we pray together  [To DON] Out of your belly FLOW!!! [Don groans] FLOW! FLOW! …flow…. Flow… FLOW! [to SANDEE] TOUCH!
